Welcome to our cozy lodge tucked away from the hustle and bustle of big city life. My name is Rick Carlson and I’m the founder of the Silverwood Lodge formerly known as the Athol Motel. Ever wonder what the history of Athol looks like? Probably not so buckle up because here we go.

Back in the early 1800’s the Athol area was first settled by traders and hunters looking for a better life and then in 1905 the Corbin Ranch was situated near Athol and became the largest sugar beet producer in the Northwest. Athol was incorporated into a village in 1909 and remained a major agricultural center until the Depression in the 1930s. For the most part the town has never seen a “boom” since UNTIL 1950 when the Athol Motel was built. We’re going to call it a boom of sorts. We believe it started out as 4 rooms with an office. In the 80’s four more rooms were added and here we are in 2023 with 10 rooms. We are committed to providing a wonderful stay and you’ll be delighted to return year after year! We offer daily and weekly rates year round and monthly rates September to April.

Our quaint little town has two bars (both within walking distance), a handful of restaurant options, two auto part stores and a 24 hour grocery store for all your needs during your stay. With so many places to hop in the car and explore for a day trip you’ll see we are perfectly located in the middle of such a great area.
